Co-wrote Layla, and was session drummer for many famous groups of the 60s and early 70s. Unfortunately, suffered my schizophrenia, killed his mother and and ended up in a mental institution in California.

If it werent for Twenties this would have a real shout to be my favourite Ghost record. Feeds into my weakness for the 80s so well.

This is probably my favourite album of this year so far... yes, Twenties is a very odd inclusion as it doesn't really fit with the rest of the record - it's the sort of thing I might have expected him/them to put out on an EP at some point.

Go on then, what's your favourite Ghost record? I like them all, but Meliora might just edge it for me. The live double album is a belter, too.

Got a soft spot for Infestissumam but objectively Meliora is probs the best like.

Though the best release was the ep with Kiss the Go Goat on it. Banger

Yep, that EP (or double A-side, never quite sure what to call it) is great... when I saw them a couple of months back they played both of those tracks, luckily. Would be great to hear them do a full album in that style.

What it must have been like to be 18 plus in USA late 60's early 70's God only knows , an upbeat song with poignant lyrics .

Come on mothers throughout the land,
Pack your boys off to Vietnam.
Come on fathers, and don't hesitate
To send your sons off before it's too late.
And you can be the first ones in your block
To have your boy come home in a box.

Seen them a few times live and the quality of the gig, rests massively on the set list - loads of slow stuff and the gig suffers. Loads of bangers and it’ll be one of the best gigs you’ll ever go to.
Yeah, I agree mate - that's what I've found too. The DVD of that Brixton show has a great setlist - and opening with Nancy Boy sets the tone nicely. I have to say Battle For the Sun kind of passed me by a bit when it first came out, but I really like the stuff off it when it's done live (The Never-Ending Why a particular highlight - it's a real beast of a track).
