Disintegration is probably their actually best album, that or kiss me. I've never really fully got into Wish. I don't think he has the same atmosphere as others mentioned

I enjoy the length of pornography and for some reason, I find it quite poppy and catchy. Even though it's probably actually not (and Wish obviously is)
Great album - I always think that its title track is a close relative of Disintegration's title track. Two of my favourite Cure songs are on there - The Figurehead (a monumental track), and A Strange Day.

I do wonder why they are not spoken about when the tedious 'best band eva' shouts come out tbh, they have so many consistent albums at a very high level, with plenty of massive songs

And as far as I am aware, their members aren't annoying at all. I'd take the cure over the smiths all the time

Another vote for Disintegration here - An absolute masterpiece

You'll have me screaming it nowadays, I've fully gone off the deep end with The Cure.

Between them, AFI and The Smiths for top spot for me. I clearly have something for brooding, slightly camp front men.

...and yes all of them are better than the Rolling Stones, Queen and The Beatles. Fight me.

Freddie Mercury carried a very mediocre band. Great front man, but terrible band

They just sound like an opera singer in a car having to do an emergency stop which skids along for 9 mins, just chill out guys

Continuing with the Cure theme, I've always had a lot of time for this Smith-Severin collaboration since buying the album on vinyl in the 80s. This instrumental is particularly good:
