Happy Birthday, George Clinton!

did you ever get to see the Parliament/Funkadelic/Clinton P-Funk groove thang mate? - i was mad on them around late 80s, went to Belgium about 1991 to see them. you needed some stamina because they were on stage for about 3 hours or more. amazing stuff. ;)

same goes for me mate. have you seen the 1978 Madison Sq Garden show- absolutely stunning version of Thick as a Brick. ;)
The first concert I ever saw was Jethro Tull. My old man took me when I was about 11... Front row seats! ;)

Have said that, I met Henry Rollins a few years ago when he was doing his one man show. He really was an amazing dude! He even signed my vinyl copy of Damaged.

Staying in that vein, here's another early 80's belter:

You'll always remember your first time, lol. I remember not knowing what to expect...

Half way through the show, I remember Ian Anderson looking over to where I was sitting and he caught a surprise when he realized I was just a wee lad... He gave me a smile, wink and a salute! I'll never forget it!

My old man is an old school rocker... He also took me to see Deep Purple and Uriah Heep. lollol
