Haha just came here to post this. Got it on now. Fantastic stuff. Two of my favourite artists.

Shame I've got to wait until November for the vinyl.

Edit: I'm up to "Living in the After", and this is an album of the year contender. Might have said before, something like Spacemen 3 might have turned out like if Jason Pierce had been replaced by Brian Wilson.

it is quite a lot like this isn't it, very noticeable now you've mentioned it.

on my second listen already, my gf loves it too

Since Post Hardcore is such a broad genre title, I had a little look what the definition was and what subgenres are included. Apparently Blackgaze falls under the banner, so here's som Deafheaven and Mol as well as Blood Command and Marmozets who also probably fit the bill. @navidson

I've listened to Deafheaven and really like their latest album - I couldn't get into them when I first tried (around the Sunbather era) because the vocals were just too harsh and screechy for me - I love the lyrics for Dream House but what's the point when you can't understand them?

I actually really like Mol - Bought that album and listen to it regularly

I love some Deafheaven. Literally sat here typing this wearing a shirt with their name on it. That latest album is great, but of course I think that, he sounds like Morrissey.

I remember seeing someone say that Diorama is the black metal "Definitely Maybe". Massive songs that are accessible... as far as black metal goes anyway. That's the gateway album to heavier things on that side.

I think the reason I like the harsher vocals from Deafheaven and Mol compared to bands like Emperor is because the musical canvas itself paints the vocals to sound more anguished rather than demonic and I think it really works.

I'm not a massive lyrics guy so I'm sound with not understanding a word of Sunbather.
