What are you currently listening to?

Yeah, they've released the first single back with Tom. It's called Edging. And it's as bad as it sounds.

Have you not heard the self titled Blink album in that case? That's the one with I Miss You on it. It's more grown up pop punk, similar to what Tom was doing at the time with Box Car Racer (his emo side project which is really good).

For me they're the best to ever do it in that genre and the golden era is exactly that. Also their come back with Skiba (California) is really good.

You should defo have a listen of that box car racer album if you haven't already btw it's surprisingly good
I liked that album - had a lot more ambition and scope without deserting the pop-punk melody. Not listened to it in an absolute age so might whack it on when I'm done listening to this.....

I like the title track but for some reason figured the rest would be bland sub-par disco filler. It really isn't. Some really solid funk which hovers around the Isaac Hayes / Parliament area.

I owe these guys an apology. I grew up seeing them as everything I hated about pop music but never realised they did stuff like this.

Guys, you'll always be The Tossers to me! (One for the oldies here)

Bee Gees 1st is well worth a listen - shifting between that baroque pop style to the more psychedelic rock sound. Wears it's influences on its sleeve with more than a nod to Revolver era Beatles which is no bad thing as they did it very well. And 'New York Mining Disaster 1941' is a classic.

This ones for all you cool kids out there... ;)

If you're an Evertonian, you're in the coolest club around!

Here's hoping we somehow manage to pull one over Spurs today...
