They're very formulaic, the lyrics are what changes most between songs so if you've heard one of their songs then you've heard most, unfortunately. Mood music, for sure. They should be banned in Alaska and the Pacific NorthWest due to the respective suicide rates. They're defo not my usual fare but I listen to a lot of different music. Also very reminiscent of Robin Guthrie/Cocteau Twins at times with the guitar, which is probably what keeps them around, for me.

Inspired by Trash Theory's recent video on YouTube about the genre I'd say is my favourite (Emo) I've made a list and I'm making an effort to go through the big hitters from the scene.


Jawbreaker are one of the first I've gone in on. Its a good start.
