Some great systems but I was most impressed by a pair of Kef standmounters that were less than £2 k and a new brand to me Kerr Acoustics whose speakers were wonderful.

Sad to see Derek go mate, such a good drummer. Sounds like he needed to step back a bit for health reasons, and going to work more on the production side. He brought a different dimension to the trio.

Think Atom will only be a temporary replacement, as I don’t think he stays in the same band long usually.

I love the band, but they’ve not really had a decent album since Crimson in my opinion, it’s all sounded a bit repetitive since then.

Think Lektron sounds similar to the trio’s older stuff, which is a good thing.

I agree mate, Derek is an incredible drummer and a great all-round musician. Probably one of the very best drummers I've seen live.

Atom is good - I've seen him a couple of times with AVA/Offspring, but as you say he tends to pass through bands quite quickly.

Hopefully we'll get some new Trio stuff before too long... now Matt's no longer in Blink it should be a case of changed priorities on that front.
