What are you currently listening to?

Not sure if this is the right thread for this, but this weekend I filled in for my mate to do some guitar tech support for a bloc party rehearsal, when the receptionist at the studio said "just to let you know, and make sure you don't photos, but ACDC are in today holding drumming auditions".

Last 2 days I've been treated to a free ACDC set behind a closed studio door. Twas awesome!

Plus I met Angus Young, so that's what I've been listening to today.

Depeche Mode touring for the first time in five years.

World tour, only one venue in the UK - Twickenham ( great stadium )

However, the cheapest ticket is £180 and that`s at the back, in the stands.

A ticket at anywhere near the front - £320 - £380.

Holy F`in Moly :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

* needless to say, as much as I`d love to go, I can`t justify that sort expense.

UK arena tour just announced. Hopefully the tickets are cheaper this time... 🤞

Just looked.

Four gigs UK gigs in January 24 - the tickets will fly out.

Of course, especially that small number of shows. Got to be quick. That said I got my Twickenham ticket off tickets aster's resale option, so there is always a chance to get one later on if we miss out this time.

Also with these shows least you won't be 100m away with some of the less expensive tickets which makes it less of a problem justifying the hefty cost.

I wouldn`t bother with the MEN and tickets at the back tbh.

You can`t see the stage, from some of the seats, due to the positioning of the gantry lights and the tickets, don`t get marked as obstructed views.

Which, you only find out when you sit in your seat and realise that you can`t see the stage, because of the lights.

Plus, if you try and complain, they just quote small print terms and conditions at you and knob you off.

I'd honestly rather go and watch a tribute act over an arena band these days. There's enough of an audience with enough disposable income that they can continue to absolutely take the pish with prices. And then you get hammered again with the prices inside.
