Being a similar age I've been through a lot of the same life experiences as Robert Smith and feel as if the whole album was written for me personally. Like a lot of men I tend to keep my emotions well and truly bottled up, but this album cuts through it like a steak knife. Has anyone else felt the same?

I remember seeing a live YouTube video of Plainsong a while back and was shocked by his vocals. Honestly thought he was finished. Now I realise it was just emotions getting to him. His voice is the same as it was 45 years ago. Amazing really.

Watched them on BBC2 concert last night and you’re spot on. His vocals haven’t changed a bit. He’s been through a lot lately and I think that’s reflected in the material on the new album. Kind of like therapy for him to cope with the bad stuff around him.
Great to see them last night. I thought they were excellent.
