Probably the most complete band to come out of your country in quite a while. Why I don't see more of you posting stuff from them is beyond me, especially you @COYBL25 . Great vocals (catalogue-wide), genre-melders, good lyrics typically and I'm not one to pay much attention to those.

I`ve never heard of them before mate, will give them a proper listen ;)

Music wise they're full of absolute freaks. Drummers ridiculous and the singers brilliant... technically. Though overall the music doesn't do a great deal for me and I can't unhear the fact the vocalist sounds like the guy from Bastille.

It's one of them where I like bits and appreciate them but put them in the not for me column.

They are what a "modern" metal band should sound like though.

Also supposedly headlining Download this year with Green Day and Korn... so I hear.

The fact they take so many musical "risks" means they're going to be hit or miss at times, I can appreciate that as, it sounds easy on paper, but in reality it's very difficult to make it work so I give them props for pulling it off so well at times but generally they are pretty good at it, all things considered, IMHO.

As a gen X'er, I grew up with the Run DMC and Aerosmith collaboration hitting the scene so melding of music doesn't put me off; quite the opposite if it's done well so I am attracted to their supposed quirkiness when they manage to nail it. They have made me enthusiastic about music again and that hasn't happened to me since Pantera here or Radiohead on your side. I've never been one for the whole masks thing, which is why I never got in to Slipknot too much , but I can overlook it if the music speaks for itself which theirs does, IMO. The fact that they do pull from so many genres is going to put people off but I kind of like that as I've never been one to follow the norm, Everton and my playlist in here over the years being a good example of that.

If I can go from Tindersticks to Liszt to Primus to Opeth, Meshuggah and Bob Marley then I'm their target audience.
