What did you do today ?

Today I've suffered my first bout of range anxiety.
I drove an Audi E-Tron GT and delivered it back to its owner. Set off with a range of 150 miles range showing for a journey of 80 miles or so.
Due to weather conditions using de-mister windscreen wipersand so on, range got to 60 miles and still 40 miles left to travel.
Got there OK in the end but I think I'll stick to good old fashioned internal combustion engine for a good few years yet.
That's interesting. I've been thinking about an all electric car ( have a self charging hybrid). How easy would it have been to get a charge en route and how long would that have taken?

I'm reliably informed from those that know better than me that using the word "easy" in terms of finding charge points is a mistake.
Seeing the scenes on motorway services with fisticuffs ongoing at the charging bays isn't a pretty sight.
To me, electric vehicles have their place, and that is purely local miles whereby you charge from your own property on a daily basis.

I’ve got full electric, mate. I wouldn’t recommend getting one unless you’re only using it around the city (which we do). If you’re planning on using one for long journeys, I’d wait a couple of years until they bring out more 500+ mile range batteries and the charging network to support them.

Thanks for the info
