What if sanctions against Usmanov where lifted in the near future?

Would you still want the vast sums of commercial sponsorship to continue?

Dreamt last night that I met Bill gates in some deserted Hawaiian Island bar.

Got him plastered on a copious amount of Cuba Libra's, and convinced him that Everton FC would be a brilliant investment.

The rest is history!

No. Partly because we are riddled with enough bad PR and murky finances with friends of friends registered to unoccupied flats above corner shops. But also because it could fall over again at any minute, we’d be in a mess again. We need to rebuild properly and sustainably and do things “right” where possible (obviously not being high and mighty to the point of administration).

Making a great start to this with these thoroughly reputable new potential owners. 👍

We should never have been overly reliant on Usmanov linked businesses anyway.

The CEO ("Best in the business" according to Chairman Bill) was happy to sit back and bask in the glory of stories of 'record deals' that landed in her lap, instead of challenging the commercial team to activity go out and secure deals from a variety of sources.

She then promptly pooped her pants (after slagging off gambling sponsors) and had to go back cap in hand to stake to scrape together a few hundred thousand PA more than a deal that was all but signed with a non-gambling partner.

Any serious business would have fired her years ago.

Any serious business wouldn't hire her in the first place.

That's not mysoginy, it's fact.

Absolutely welcome back his dosh once the UK concede, during peacetime negotiations, that their rules on Oligarchs is against human rights and they welcome their investments back onto these shores.

The home truth is the sanctions the main reason we're in this mess.

If we continued to get the various commercial deals from USM, Megafon and direct finance for the stadium, we could have found ways to throw money out of danger.

I can't see us ever getting that financial boost again. I'm sure Moshiri has learnt from the past and if Kenwright got turfed with the rest of the board we could have been looking at a brighter future.
Provisionally probably maybe yes...I mean, sadly, it's a money driven game now.
But not if anybody from the recent regime is any way involved

As if anyone of us had a problem with him before Russia invaded Ukraine.

Some of us were saying that writing off £100m+ losses every year was not a sustainable way to run a business actually. Some of us were critical about spending £45m on Sigurdsson, £27m on Tosun and £28m on Bolasie and were met with “it’s not your money lad why you arsed”.

I know, I think I was one of them too. My point being a moral one, nobody found his involvement with Everton so reprehensible before Ukraine. It's not like he just became this baddie when sanctions started is it.
