There were questions regarding his attitude and lack of effort off the pitch before this came to light, its why we sent him out on loan originally, and why the Turkish club wanted to send him back so quickly after he arrived there. I`m not saying he didn`t have mental health issues, but it`s interesting that when his performance level dropped off a cliff, in his mid 20`s, then his childhood trauma and abuse became an issue.

Wow, this is just so incredibly ignorant. I’d suggest even doing a 2 min google of the effects of childhood trauma to try and educate yourself even a little.

Actually and factually it's pretty early for a male to face upto their mental health problems normally around 40 mark. He did the classic self medication route.

It wasn’t even necessarily just self medication. Sleeping pills were/are often given by football club doctors etc.
