Even this I struggle with to be honest. It's very Everton the way we are looking after a lad with well documented personal issues. As a blue I'm 100% behind this.
Talk of PSR needs to consider the optics for the Prem if they added the rehab of a player in Deli's situation. It would be jumped on and shredded very quickly if so and not just by the football community.
To our credit. Call it soft power. If there is such a thing as the "player union". I would hope Everton fair well in being a club that looks after players, at this time it probably the biggest positive in terms of all the negativity that has swirled round us. I've heard Collymore speak highly of Everton in this regard in the past. To Evertons credit have continued with player welfare despite obvious club difficulties.Spurs should be looking after him, not us
Much can change in the six years between Hibbert finishing and Dele being allowed to be in and around club.Even this I struggle with to be honest.
Compare it to Tony Hibbert, 18 years with the club, 246 appearances, let go via Sky News when he was injured.
He was allowed complete his rehabilitation, only he was barred from being on site when the first team were there and only allowed to use the U21 facilities.
Everton and Dele Alli are in a Faustian pact where they both stand to benift, there is nothing altruistic about what is going on.
You’re no doubt right, and despite my whinging it is the decent thing to do, my point more reflects on Spurs. You’d have thought they would have held an interest in helping him giving how much he gave to them.To our credit. Call it soft power. If there is such a thing as the "player union". The sceptic in may says we’ve only been nice to Dele because he knows where the Arteta money is. Seriously though, Thelwell was even saying the other month they thought they could get him playing. So it isn’t altruistic at all, just desperate.Even this I struggle with to be honest.

We’re in the last 10 winners of the league and the last 10 winners of the fa cup."Very Everton"
Because we're known for this rather than winning trophies...
They used to say due to Bill Kenwright and Denise Barrett-Baxendale that "Everton are a charity with a football club attached"
Some are still stuck in that mindset
That was also to allow them two to deflect away from personal performance
But we ain't Newcastle"Very Everton"

People who don’t know us for winning things think only 4 or 5 teams can win anything in this league.
So we’re in good company with the other 90 odd league teams
But we ain't Newcastle
I think it's great that our club has a heart. People can dance around this as much as they want but that's what it is, and it will be applauded by all right minded people."Very Everton"

We all want the same thing.I want Everton winning trophies and known for winning things
Not people misconstruing the football club as a charity and using it like a gravy train.
We are mate but we haven’t won a thing for 30 years . Since then Pompey , Wigan , Leicester , West Ham , Swansea , boro & Blackburn have all trousered silverware .We’re in the last 10 winners of the league and the last 10 winners of the fa cup.
