What Song Do You Most Hate ?

Saw them open for 311 at the Boathouse in Norfolk, Virginia. They were terrible.

Anyway, after their set, my friends and I were near the merch table and this sweaty, purple-faced dad comes barging in: “I’ll have two Hoobastank hoodies”. They didn’t hear him so he just starts yelling “TWO HOOBASTANK HOODIES” over and over again. Been an inside joke with us ever since
311 - Down. Now there's a song I haven't heard in decades!

Yeah, never that keen on covers and more of a “Holiday in Cambodia” man myself.
I have a mate that use to be a cop, and every time I saw him, I use to sing him these 3 lines from 'Police Truck':

'But the guys at the station, they don't give a sh.t,
Dispatch calls, "Are ya doin' somethin' wicked?"
No siree, Jack, we're just giving out tickets!'

Use to drive him absolutely bonkers! 🤣

I'm getting more into jazz as I age.

I'm not saying rlectronic music doesn't sound good on the hifi - but it doesn't have the detail like hearing the resin on a bow, or the long delay of a cymbal.

I always like listening to different speakers, but I've never had rhe chance to hear your ones. About the only speakers I've heard to date that made me want to buy them were a pair of Ocellias (from France). They were very, very similar to mine but had a tantalising extra bit of warmth to the vocal. I later satisfied myself that that was down to hearing vinyl through them compared with my streaming at home and so managed to save myself angst over wanting a pair of speakers costing over £30k!!
Yes I don't stream. Invariably vinyl , occasionally CD.

As an old (and still am) Northern Soul boy I detest The Snake by Al Wilson...even more so when Donald Trump plagiarised the words to somehow try and explain away his reasoning for cracking down on illegal (Mexican...in the main) immigrants and to justify the building of 'the wall' between the two countries.

Listen to the words (available on YouTube)

You can also have something that was well composed in it's time, and can be considered a masterpiece.

A good example would be 'Zadok the Priest' which was a classical choral piece composed by Handel for the coronation of King George II back in the early 1700's.

The original piece is a work of genius IMHO.
Fast forward 270 years later and UEFA decide to make a shorten, altered, bastardized version of it to play before champions leagues matches. I cringe when I hear it, and I pretty much put my telly on mute until the match starts. That's how bad it is!
