Is it the mods or reps or what?

I have quite a few + reps and was green until one comment about Osman which I felt was fair.

I can't stand looking at the colour red am I destined to live this way forever on GOT forum or will my green power bar ever be restored?

Yep. Pretty much all the neg I've received has been from people who don't like me. Targeting not the post I've made, but the person who made them. And as you say, if you've got a reppy love-in, with people building up rep power of thousands, then a single neg from one of them will cost you more rep points than 12 max-pos reps from your average match-thread poster.


You could find a marriage between the thumbs and rep: keep the rep system, only do away with ranking it via points.

Somebody with 8,000 posts will likely have a higher rep than someone with 10 posts even if the former is a complete moron, is the point.

It's the way it works, and the current rep system gives more weight to the former over a newbie.
