As for Nuno If you think we’re going to be in contrast and watching free flowing attacking football the evidence from benetiz’s career suggests that’s unlikely not especially given the squad we’ve got .

The idea that he might be crap isn’t what the issue is , well not for me , we obviously had that before it’s that he might be crap combined with the damage it does in that period to the club to the fanbase as a whole, to our image to a lot of things . I genuinely don’t care how the RS feel and If this works great it’s a masterstroke but If it doesn’t I think it’ll be nasty and do real damage to our club because I’ve never seen or been aware of a fanbase so split , divided and underwhelmed before a new manager has walked in the door .

Urm Carlo was the opposite feelings turned out crap - any Manager who fails will get sacked - end of - if you thin the last 2/3rds of Carlos reign was attacking football ?
10th two places lower than Fat Sam.... says it all...

I am just posting give him a chance he has not managed the other lot for ages - not my choice but.......
 
He will lose games (obviously doh) particularly in the first year, that squad is riddled with poor recruiting. It’s important not to lose focus and at least give him time.

I didn’t want him here and I’m certainly no fan of the board, there has to be a time tho when that cynicism is eased and it doesn’t turn into a Chelsea situation in terms of atmosphere.

I never suggested Ancelotti was playing attacking football I’m just pointing out that Benitez hasn’t been known for it , they’re not mutually exclusive positions . You seem to be arguing as if i’m defending Ancelotti, I’ll reread if I was I need to alter it .

again I appreciate if he’s crap he’ll get the sack I don’t think I argued that point . My point is that if he’s rubbish it’s the damage he’ll do . It’s not a case of sacking silva , Koeman or even Sam . I hope we never find out but the damage that will be caused to this club reputation and amongst the fans with splits if this fella ‘fails ‘ is going to take a long time to repair . The word toxic gets used , I’ve used it and it won’t take 18 months of poor results to get there that’s for sure . So that’s the point I’m trying to make not defending Ancelotti or or his style of football or that Benitez has some golden ticket .

I'm were players we signed from them toxic? No one winged about Morressey, Sheedy etc etc - in fact we have only ever signed gems from them ......

Look if the rich owners want RB - not my choice by the way - give him a chance at least - if he fails he will be sacked li!e the other duds, they hired......

Not true either. Carlo spent £60m, Allardyce spent £50m and delivered even less.

No, because he's a washed-up kopite has-been, so we'll give him the same treatment we rightly gave Allardyce.

Let's get him out nice and quick.
