What's the earliest chant or song at Goodison you can remember? And what's the best?

What was the Blackbeard one?

I take it the in the abs one was the give us a wave chant!
Babs one, something about clapping your hands, to which all the denim clad hoolies would clap one hand in the air, the blackbear one was basically [Poor language removed] off blackbeard which died down very quickly as he approached.
He still scares me now.... :)

Early 70's used to hear all the chants from tommy white gardens, mostly the boot walk song and, your gonna get your f,kin head kicked in, and other hoolie chants.

Yeah, and there was, to the tune of MacNamara's band.

Oh, his name is Joey Royle and he's the leader of our team

The finest centre forward that the world has ever seen

When Bally takes the corner, he nods it in the goal

And as for Alun Evans you can stick him up yer 'ole.

My earliest memory of a chant is "who ate all the pies...", although special mentions need to go to:
-"He's got the whole world in his nose" for Phil Thompson and
-"What's that coming over his wife, is it a gangster, is it a gangsterrrr" for Stevie G

There's a wooly over there ..over there
he's even wearing brown airwair...brown airwair
with a three star jumper half way up his back
he's a f'kin woolyback....woolyback

Remember my dad teaching me some crackers as a kid

Can't remember how it starts but the end is...

"For it's a great team, you'll agree,
We'll go down in history,
We won the cup, the championship too,
And today we'll murder you,
Cos we're Everton FC"

All the Kopites are crying,
Graeme Souness is dying,
What a wonderful way, to spend your day,
Watching Graeme Souness pass away.

I quite like guy now, if I'm honest. I love listening to him on Sky Sports when he analyses, especially on Champions League nights. Him and Gary Neville together are a breath of fresh air, talking sense and no flannel like the rest of the blerts they usually get on there.

I have to agree with you on that one he is one of the few ex-kopite pundits i like and Neville is good, I expected him to be fairly bias but he does say things as they are!

Thanks for the lyrics by the way:dance:

Yeah, I've remembered the start of it too now

"Oh I am an Evertonian,
And I stand on the Gwladys Street
I like to sing and shout because I know
It leads the team to victory,
For it's a great team, you'll agree,
We'll go down in history,
We won the cup, the championship too,
