It was the first covid lockdown that made me realise that retirement could not come soon enough.Retired at 63,
can be a bit boring, but so much less stressful than work!
Maybe use something like PensionBee to bring them all together so it's easier to manage?I’ve got about 16/17 years worth of basic workplace pension payments scattered across 3 different accounts so far. I really need to get it all in some sort of order at some point.
I’m 40 now so I’ve considered increasing my payments at some point within the next 10 years, but in all honesty, I’m fully expecting the apocalypse to happen sometime before I retire.
Did I write this?Retired at 63, thankfully have good pension plans. I paid in since I was 21.
mortgage paid off years ago, just me and the missus at home now. State pension starts next year, at 66, so I’m quite well off and not threatened by food or heat deprivation.

You're lucky there's social housing available. It's like rocking horse poop in some areas.Council renting is great though, £290 a month for my one bed flat. Brand new boiler and central heating last year new roof next year. Much prefer it to all they years I had to keep re mortgaging to pay for repairs.
