Walter Smith, kendall and moyes you knew before the season kicked off it was going to be a battle from day one, now we have players and fans who dont want to be here coupled with a league that's desperate to get the teams with biggest sponsors into the European spots , poor var with ridiculous referees, there never has been a worst time to be a football fan even worse to be an evertonian .

Seriously though, i understand it is everybody’s personal choice whether they go the match or not, and I fully understand why people didnt want FSW at the club, I certainly didnt. But people saying they wont listen to the game, wont cheer a win because he is at the helm? That isnt support in any language I understand? I said somewhere else on here, nothing FSW did or could ever do going forward could make me hate him the way I hated Catterick when he sold Ball, but i still wanted us to win?? Absolutely cannot understand people gibbing the club off because they dont agree with appointing a manager chico?

I'm very excited to be seeing friends I haven't seen for far too long, and just the thought of being back at Goodison is making me very, very happy.

I'm going with my two kids, who are mad excited and too young to understand all the negativity, which is keeping my spirits up and in some ways making me feel like a kid again.

However, I'm the most apathetic and unenthusiastic about the actual football and Everton that I ever have been, for a few reasons (ESL crap/Ancelotti/lack of decent recruitment/the James shambles/cocking up the season tickets etc) and not just Benitez.

I'll be right behind the lads and want us to win, every game, but I just don't see this season ending well for us with Benitez in charge.

Please prove me wrong Benitez.

I think I felt worst on the eve of the 04/05 season. The Rooney transfer was just gutting, and I thought we were in massive trouble.

That season turned out okay. So I guess anything is possible in the face of our present despair, too.

First time at Goodson since Feb 2020. I’m excited tbh

This all day long.
We haven’t been the match for 18 months, missed friends ect.
Even if it’s for one day only let’s all be grateful, get behind the lads and most importantly try and enjoy, it’s been a long time.

Lads were gonna need the full power of the super bloos today and all this season if we’re to push on and realise Moshiri’s dream. Moshiri had a dream to build a football team he wasted all our money so he got Allardyce and Benitez but we didn’t moan.

Sorry too, i dont like slagging fellow blues off, so i apologise for shouting my mouth off. I concede that they are entitled to their opinion. But I have heard quite a few lads (who i know are blues) saying they hope we get beat every game he is in charge, that just angers me. They could put a managerial team of Thomas and Collina in charge and I still wouldnt want us to lose a match.
