Top 6.

But does anyone else feel like all this is a bit hollow or surreal? I'm finding it difficult to even watch matches with empty stadiums, fake generated crowd noise and constant var interruptions. It's like watching a pro evolution or fifa computer game...

If we were midtable, I’d agree.

But we’re top of the league, so crowdless stadia actually represents the truest form of the game.

Until we’re midtable again, at which point it won’t really be football.

The league is in really poor form right now, I know it's early days but I wouldn't be worried of playing any team in this league right now. Going from 12th to Europe either CL or EL would be a great turnaround.

I'll answer more confidently tommorrow. Any top 4 aspirations we should be winning these games but by no means a certainty. On there day Soton can cause anybody problems.

If we win tomorrow I'll be starting to think about top 4. If we matched the 72 points under Martinez season I think that will be enough.

No expectation but plenty of hope. The guys should be making memories and dreams for the younger* Evertonians who have been starved of them for so long.

* Anyone under 40!

First.
But I suppose it's all about keeping the first eleven and a few more fit and motivated. Injuries will happen. So it's up to others to step up.
I'm not that convinced with some of our bench.
Nkounkou and Gordon Holgate.......Kenny and Godfrey will play a big part in our season. Maybe also young Braithwaite.
I'm not convinced that Gomes.....Bernard.......Iwobi.......Davies.......Delph.....will help.the Everton cause. At least not on a consistent basis.

So if our main eleven can play as many games as possible. And keep raking up points. And hang in there till January. Then we add a view more quality players. Who knows?
Aim for first...........and let's have a proper run at the cups also.....

Ps........Richarlson getting sent off last week doesn't help matters. Need to avoid any more nonsense like that. And if Rodriquez is out for any lengthy of time. Then it's backs to the wall all round. I wouldn't trust our slow and slower midfield from last season to do much. Really don't want to see that midfield line up ever again.........one or two on the bench will do for me.
But this is now. Beat Southampton . And lets keep this run going.
Let's win everything in front of us............Up the Toffees....

Totally agree with what you say..............but.
There's always a but. Especially with Everton. If we can win something this season. It won't matter one jot about what you have mentioned.
I can live with everything that is going on. Hopefully just for this season though.
Ps........I can't watch the football live on the telly. It doesn't look.right.
I now prefer listening to commentary on the radio. Or just tuning into this website to get a quick update.
As you have stated it's all a wee bit surreal.
Our results aren't surreal though. They are very much real.
And for me , that's all that counts for now. Results...results......results .
Up The Toffees. Don Carlos very real (surreal) Toffees.
