I'd expect us to finish in the relegation zone...but at least we've lived the dream these past weeks.

Honestly, after over 20 years of Kenwright, replete with the silky talents of Claus Thomsen, Li Tie, and Tony Hibbert, I am fully embracing this novel concept of an Everton who can afford a world-class coach and a world-class midfield player and who, whisper it, provoke a sense of joy in me when I watch them. I was lucky to be around for the 80s team - and they were joyful - but James gives me goosebumps. We have hope again. If we crash and burn, financially or otherwise, I don't think I care. Moshiri has given us a chance again. It might be the end of us, but a club like ours must grasp at that rather than settle for the everlasting irrelevance of mediocrity, which was our fate under Kenwright. We've got a real chance right now and these next few days before the transfer deadline could be era defining for us.

If we can get one more high quality player (as good as Allan), we can definitely make top 4. Right now - we have a good shot at Top 4, but it ultimately depends on whether they can last the whole season. Its a tough grind, and we saw Leicester lose it way multiple times, even top teams like Arsenal, Tottenham fumble at the end when they play well for like 3/4 of the season.

We're also a dark horse for the title if Liverpool runs out of gas, Leicester fall apart again and Man City already showing its still inconsistent like last season.

We have Holgate to come back, Gbamin maybe. A bit light if Dom is out but squad is not too bad really. RS world has ended with Veeeerrgil out and City losing their way. Man U should get better though. I think it is quite open and can see beyond RS and Citeh.
