hopefully stay up, sell dead wood and regroup with players who want to wear the shirt- possibly look to sign younger players who can imrpove us and possible be sold to in the future to assist with FFP issues- try to recreate what dortmund did

Come writers and critics who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide, the chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon, for the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who that it's namin'
For the loser now will be later to win
For the times, they are a-changin'

All of the above in some proportion, plus as yet unknown factors, some sort of footballing Higgs Boson?

If we don't fall off the edge this season and nothing much changes - well there's always next season...or the next.

When a reporter asked British PM Harold MacMillan...Sir, what will prevent your Govt. from carrying out its policies?
He replied...
Events dear boy, Events.

True then - true now

We are heading nowhere good anytime soon, even if we survive. We have to place all of our trust in progressive appointments and back them to ride out the FFP storm in the short term whilst placing a huge emphasis on long-term planning. We need to listen to offers for every single one of our players in the summer and look to turnover as many as we can and back ourselves that we can replace them cost effectively.

As fans, we need to accept that the two to three years are going to painful even if we stay up this season, but we have to trust that Lampard and Thelwell (and I'm still holding out hope that Cahill will soon become involved in an official capacity) can set us on the right track.

Just interested to see what most people's real thoughts are on the future over the next 5-10 years or so?......and because I've never done a poll on here :)
Things can change quickly in football. I know Leicester won the league. But the next 3 years finished below us every season. Untill nearly getting top 4, 2 years running.

Look at West Ham. Wolves.
Villa spend 3/4 years in the championship, nearly get relegated again. Then sell their best player and all of a sudden people think they’re going in the right direction, finished above us once( going to be twice) in 17 yrs. a lot of their positiveness is who the manager is.

Look at a palace a boring dog of a team for 4 yrs under Hodgson. Now a new manager fresh ideas, new style of play A few youngster. And look like they’re heading in the right direction, think it’s still very early days for them. Also it was all doom and gloom at the end of last season, because they had players out of contract and maybe not the money to build, but they found away.

While staying up is huge obviously. I think the change is starting off the pitch. Higher earners going last summer, more going This summer. Hopefully we can shift a few more. And if we can shift DCL/Richarlison/Pickford for decent money, We can start to rebuild. Hopefully lampard and Thilwell will get it right.
