Where will Everton finish 2023-24

All depends on the fitness of DCL. We’re an 11th - 15th squad with him fit.

I’m not wanting to think about what will happen without him but we all know the result of that.

At least we’re starting with a seasoned manager in charge.
I think this is about right. With a steady (if unremarkable) additional forward option and even semi-reliable DCL, I think 13th-15th. TBH I don't really care where we slot in if it is a boring second half and we're largely out of the relegation scrap. A steady march to 14th or something would be just fine for the club IMO. Need stability and time to catch our breath.

Did you even watch Everton last season? We are weaker now than we were but somehow you think we are going to be easly safe.. the only area we will improve in is fitness will that be enough to improve our final standing compared to last year, I hope so but I doubt it.
For the 18 games we had under Sean Dyche, we were 13th in the table. And in a far more difficult run than Lampard had, we were W5 D6 L7. I think the OP is about spot on with the 11th-15th estimation.

If we're gonna question if people even watched Everton last season, it's the ones saying we're nailed on bottom of the table. That 18 games wasn't pretty but it was nowhere near bottom of the league stuff.

We were 15th, level on points with the team in 13th but with an inferior goal difference.

Yep. And if you extrapolate Dyche's 18 games out to a full season (harsh, cos he had 1 home game v bottom half) you get 44 points. And 44 points has been in the 11th-15th positions for every one of the past twenty seasons.

I think Sean Dyche's Everton is the 11-15thiest team in the league, with the potential to become a distinctly 8-10thy kind of side, with a fit Calvert Lewin.

Unfortunately I worry that only Luton will finish below us this season.

One this I would say on a general prediction though, keep an eye on Brighton. That level of VERY extreme inconsistency we saw at the end of the season with big wins followed by big batterings can go bad quickly. Add in Europa League and I think it could be interesting. I wouldn't assume a repeat of last season

This is the 2nd such thread this pre season. We usually get to 5 before deadline day . Award winning forums so this of course !
And no poll. Sloppy effort this
I will live & learn thought it was a good idea to get the opinions of the fans
On were we will finish I will go back to the transfer thread & wait for all the top signing
May take awhile eh

11th according to my slightly scarred and dim crystal ball.
I asked the online magic 8 ball...

Next season will be as painful as the last in fact it could be worse, this will take 2-3 years of no spending before it starts to get better
