Where will Everton finish 2023-24

Nah Everton will finish in the Top half in 10th. In fact the top ten will be:

Man City
Man United
Chelsea
Arsenal
Liverpool
Spurs
Brighton
Newcastle
Villa
Everton

To be realistic, we should target to finish around 10-14. We are so unstable to compete with half of the PL team. We need time to build up a solid team.

The Daily Mail’s detailed analysis suggests relegation - refers to the sale of ‘Moise Khan’ (?)

On that basis I think we’ll be comfortable.

Nothing is ever set in stone but the article makes a lot of sense. Going down is way more likely than the top 10 shouts on here.

I think we’ll hit 40 points, which should be enough for 15th.

I don’t think for a second it’s going to be the prettiest of seasons, far from it to be perfectly honest.

But we’ll ground out a lot of wins and I think we’ll be hard to score against.

The most “optimistic” I’ve been since Ancelotti season, purely because we don’t have a has been manager or a fella who doesn’t have a clue.

Hopefully we hit the ground running, and take 3 points next week, build from there.

What is classed as established?

We’ve spent the last 2 seasons in a relegation scrap, having only spent 1 of our last 76 games in the league being mathematically safe.

The other “established clubs” either qualified for Europe or aren’t facing FFP messes (except Wolves, who I think are in a far worse position than us).

Daily Fail providing a Sunday morning laugh

Next they’ll be publishing an article saying Man City favourites for the title!

If forest don,t star paying there bonuses, agents fees and outstanding transfer deposits the media may start looking at them instead of us!;)

Surely Luton and Sheff Utd will go and I’d say we’re in for the next place along with Wolves, Burnley, Forest and possibly West Ham if they don’t invest.

Watching the overlap this morning I agree with the sentiments that Sheffield United and Luton are going to struggle massively. Luton are buying Championship quality players and are basically preparing the club to be able go come straight back up rather than stay in the league. Sheffield United seem to just be trying to stabilise as a club because of financial troubles and have a worse side than the one they came up with and don’t look like they’re trying to improve it much. Losing Berge is basically throwing in the towel.

I still have us as one of those clubs that could get dragged into that 18th spot but I feel a bit more positive about not getting dragged into it this season. I think with one or two more signings we have a good chance of being safe by the end of March.
