Where will Everton finish 2023-24

Did you even watch Everton last season? We are weaker now than we were but somehow you think we are going to be easly safe.. the only area we will improve in is fitness will that be enough to improve our final standing compared to last year, I hope so but I doubt it.
We are not starting the season with Lampard. That makes us stronger than last season

Having Dom fit some of the time, and signing a decent striker is vital if we’re not to be on the bottom few teams imo. Our squad is weaker than this time last season, Gordon wasn’t great, but he did contribute sometimes. The same with Mina, who had his best run before he left! My only positive at this point is the fact that Garner could play a lot more games, and could improve us. It’s good that we’re not wasting millions at this point, and maybe we’ll be able to spend again further down the line. The worry is that we’ll struggle before we reach that point, I’d take 17th again and have some £ to spend next Summer, but I worry how long it will be before we can make big signings. We need to find some bargains ASAP!

My word this is grim!

Personally i dont think we will be in a relegation battle next season, mid table seems a fair bet with the rumoured signings. Danjuma already improves us.

I also think the bottom 6 will be more open this season, cant see Luton and Sheff UTD being strong enough to stay up, Forrest will be in the mix as will Wolves. Palace my also struggle this season with Zaha gone and Olise possibly moving.

Plus sides like Newcastle, Villa and Brighton being in Europe may struggle with the amount of games the top 10 may be easier to break into this season.

Dyche for a full season, regardless of your views of him managing Everton, has to be a + 8/10 points on FL. He was relegating Chelsea if season kept going ffs!
I think we’ll get another 1 or 2 forward players and that should be good enough to see us comfortable.

I can’t see us being in a proper relegation scrap this season. We’ll surely get a striker of sorts in. And we no longer have Lampard which is worth a lot of points. Bottom half but comfortable.

If you don't win more than two away games all season you're in a relegation battle. So that's been the very lowest standards for last two seasons so up to Dyche to change mentality, positive was team became hard to beat on the road and dug some crucial draws from losing positions so that's a big improvement on the last two apparent managers.

Still think with lack of goals and decent counter attacks it's hard to see too many goals and indeed clean sheets given the backline is currently weaker.

Don't think there's any chance whatsoever of being within 10 points of Villa and Newcastle when May 2024 approach's, Brighton perhaps.

Fulham look the team that will drop from mid table into relegation battle, Joao Paliniha did his shoulder so he's probably going to be out for a while (and might move).

Really good time to be playing them in August.

I know it's only pre-season but I watched some matches over the weekend and Fulham, Brentford, Villa and Newcastle all looked like they'd play us off the park atm. Hope I'm wrong but I can't see anything other than another relegation battle with the current squad.
