I think us, spurs, wolves and Leicester all battling out for 6th spot.

I also think Spurs are not as strong as we think now. Mourinho is not a dynamic force and is losing a couple of players i think.
Wolves & Leicester have done really well, but in places with relatively lower point totals around them.Proper challenges would put them under pressure
Basically, we have a chance

You don't buy James Rodriguez and Allan and then aim for 8th, got to believe we are here to compete this year, it's a hard league but our aims must be high end

Lets not get ahead ourselves and expect greatness from the first game. Kills us everytime we think wev signed so called better players.

If the reported players of Allan/Doucoure/Rodriguez all sign then top half minimum, Depends on how well players like Rodriguez and Allan bed in to push us further imo, Europa is reachable but we'll need to be consistent all season at home at least.

While these new (potential atm) signings excite me, we've been in a similar situation before, splashing the cash on big names and all the excitement that goes with it.
Granted Carlo's pull has brought us bigger names than before, I'm still being cautious with my optimism lest we Everton this one up... again.

Reckon we will finish 7th, but a lot closer to 6th than previously. Decent run in the cups (semi final before losing to a City or a Chelsea). Keep players and more importantly keep Carlo for 2021/2022, add a few more and THEN it will be our time to challenge...

Last season - 12th, 49 points and a -12 GD

Next season I'd be pleased with 6-8th, 65 points and a +ve GD. People may think that isn't ambitious enough by gaining 4 to 6 league positions, 16 points and improving your goals for and against by a cumulative total of 13 at a minimum within the space of 1 season would show some real tangible signs of progress. On top of that you'd like to see a defined pattern of play develop, as Carlo and his coaching staff work with the players (existing and new) on his tactical master plans, and some of the younger players continue to develop.

With the current 3 targets + a RB and WILF = 5th/6th

This is wildly ambitious. Incorporating 5 new 1st team players into a squad this pre-season (where there aren't going to be any real pre-season games for those 5 potential signings) would mean integration into the team may need to be gradual. That's going to effect the ability of the team to hit the ground running. Could easily be after Xmas before we see the best of this team.

Patience is the main thing we can provide as supporters. The worst thing we can do is laden the players with unfair expectations. At best the expectation should be that we improv and if things go really well then we could squeeze into a Europa League spot this coming season (7th-8th). Build on that next summer and look for 2021/22 to be a season where Europa is an expectation (5th-7th) and maybe having a challenge for a CL spot could happen if things go amazingly over the next 18-24 months.

For me, getting back into Europe, on at least 1 occasion, should be a reasonable aim over the next 2 seasons. That's not a low bar by the way, considering how far behind we are of a number of the teams above.

Between 8th and 10th.

We have a poor squad. I don't think our signings fix that.

Allan is the only one I think will definitely be top quality so we will improve on last season but I don't think it will be a huge improvement with Pickford still in goal.

A new right back and Romero and we’ll be right around 5th or 6th fighting it out with Arsenal, wolves, spurs and Leicester. No chance were taking over any of Pool, City, Chelsea, or United. Think Leicester and Spurs will slip but Arsenal will be better. Should be a good league this season.
