While these new (potential atm) signings excite me, we've been in a similar situation before, splashing the cash on big names and all the excitement that goes with it.
Granted Carlo's pull has brought us bigger names than before, I'm still being cautious with my optimism lest we Everton this one up... again.
That said, my expectations for the season are to see Doucore and Allan volley Son off the pitch in the opening game, the little s***thouse. Anything after that is a bonus.

So with a whole new midfield, this will provide much needed protection for the defence which it hasn’t had in a while, and also better service to the attackers thereby an all round improvement.

On paper teams better than you.

1. City
2. Liverpool
3. Chelsea
4. Man United
5. Arsenal
6. Spurs
7. Leicester

In reality Wolves, Southampton and probably Leeds will finish above you too. So 11th place finish for Everton this year.
Leeds... LEEDS?

If we never signed 3 for midfield we could well of been relegation fodder, as exciting as it is it was critical, I’d of snatched your hand off for mid table 2 days ago, hoping for 7/8th now and Europe in some guise( to keep Richarlison)

I think Carlo and Brands saw that coming and have acted. Fair play.

Also how astounding is it that an entire midfield have convinced a new manager that they’re crap in such short time?

They play as a team and they are adding some quality players to their system. They will be mid table minimum.
Everton have better individuals but you are very poor as a team.
Premier league is a different beast altogether though.
They don't have the sheer amount of up and coming talent that someone like Wolves had on promotion though for example.

Yeah I read that quote earlier myself, it wasn’t rocket science but the board have done well here and protected their investment.

Top 4.

Or....

After Allan, Doucoure and Rodriguez take one another out in the first game, each desperate to show the fans how committed they are and diving into the same loose ball, breaking one another's legs - relegation looms.

Everton that.

Don’t be daft. They will struggle big time. They’ve been an average championship team for years and got promoted from a very poor league.
