Who could replace Martinez ?

I'd go for Duncan Ferguson, just because he'd fire players up and let us go more direct to utilise the talented players we have and get us out of the slump.

Wouldn't want him on a permanent deal, but there's no doubt in my mind that I'd rather have Dunc than Martinez in charge for a relegation battle.

Yeah the same FSW who has Champions League, Europa League and an FA Cup amongst his achievements. Add his trophies won at napoli and in Spain aswell he's a decent manager.

Give me success over tribal bitterness anyday

The same FSW, who called us "small", for a manager with a prestigious career like Rafael, would he really leave a Giant like Napoli for nor just any smaller club, but the ones who are rivals to his beloved Liverpool. As for Koeman, why would he leave Southampton?

You do realise Duncan is part of the coaching staff?

You think he just stands there with his arms folded?

Stinks of heart over head a move like that. It just never works out.

I agree with you with regards to the fire, but there are surely astute managers out there who can also motivate players.

No offense but any managerial vacancy that has a team with players like Lukaku, Mirallas, Barkley, McCarthy, Coleman and Baines will be jumped at don't kid yourself mate

Not when that side is leaking goals for fun. Not when it's obvious that the team needs major investment in central defence and central midfield in order to stop us leaking goals, and not when the new manager will only have a few months to make sure he gets it right in order to prevent relegation to the Championship.

Don't get me wrong, I know how big of a draw Everton are, but the scenario Everton are in right now is not a good one. I don't think there is going to be a queue of good managers wanting to take on the position we find ourselves in at the moment.

I certainly don't think he has the clout to influence in any way Martinez's tactics at the moment, so being on the staff makes no difference to his suitability as a manager.

There are, but few that you'd get in the middle of the season compared to the end of it.

I'd rather have a temp in and then get serious about a permanent in the summer.

Worked out great for Shearer. It'd be a bad move

It's a moot point like, as he'll never be sacked. We can't afford to sack him!

Not a comparable situation - he arrived later, and had a much worse team to use.

I think we could hire pretty much anyone and they'd do better than Martinez in this situation we're in. The point is to remove the rot that has set in from the top ASAP.

You're on crack if you think any decent manager would come to a club that sacks a manager off after the first season results we had when they follow it up with a poor season.

Also he's waiting for a CL team and wont be persuaded by what we have to offer.

Look, if we get rid of Martinez it'll be for some cave man like Ferguson or Unsworth.

Thats what you'd have to go forward with...which I'm sure some of you would love like.
only crank here is you mate you refuse to accept his wrong doing, purely because he replaced moyes. He's worse than Moyes.
