We will never find the true story, i fully expect Moshiri told lie after lie to slime his way in
I don't think the story is that hard.

Moshiri on paper looks a fine person to own the club. He puts the money in, has a proven business record, he gives just enough soundbites (albeit in a weird manner) and isn't an absolute monster.

Until he took over the club nobody could possibly know that he was a bit flaky and would panic all the time.

I have no doubt that every move he has made has been in an effort to do the right thing by the club but he is obviously just not very good at it.

….Benitez definitely gets the blame for turning the club sceptic and making us relegation candidates. I have no doubt we’d be fine & the club a happier place but for that obnoxious man. Amazing that a couple of regulars on here put him on a pedestal & continue to defend him.
His record speaks for itself tbh, but that ultra defensive style he has always played is only ever going to work with very fit players who can run with the ball and move it out and forward very quickly. None of which we have and everyone who watches football (no matter who you support) knows Benitez don't change for nobody, him and Jose are probably the 2 most stubborn managers in the game. I just don't know who thought that in a league where most teams play with a high press that hiring a manger who wants to play like that was a good idea, it just invites trouble.

…the dreadful tactics & team set-up are one thing but he turned the club sceptic. He turned players on players, brought in some who reported back to him what was said in dressing room & forced Digne out. He upset staff at FF & caused conflict at Board level.

The club was a mess but it was safe, Benitez turned it into a sceptic mess that we will not recover from. Some on here continue to worship him but we know one of those is happy for us to go down.

Should the almost inevitable happen and we become the biggest team to ever be relegated from the Premiere League, Who in your mind will get the blame?

For the knee jerkers I am not trying to find out 'who you blame', but rather when history looks back in the years to come, who will be the scapegoat/cause of our Premiership demise?

For me it will be Moshiri because he appointed the FSW against the will of the supporters.
Walsh and Brands. Ultimately the players are not good enough and they were supposedly in charge of recruitment. Whoever posted our transfer business the other day just highlighted how incredibly poorly that had been managed. If moshiri drops the bomb on frank today, he’ll go up in my estimations for at least understanding our predicament. When he appoints Vitor, he’ll go back down again ? but he’s put his hand in his pocket when asked, that should be his only role.

Some of this is in the public domain, but the bit about players turning on one another and the reporting back I'm curious about. Are you able to say more about this? I don't doubt you btw, just needs to be shared I feel. Important for understanding why we're in this mess.

I think you are inflating us. Villa are a similar sized club and were European Cup winners.
Forrest won the European Cip twice. City also went into league one.

We have fallen from grace and will fall a lot further yet. I predict a season in league one.

We will be the biggest team since Man U managed it in 1974 regardless of premier league revisionism.

All depends when you think it started.
It's my opinion the actual rut kicked in over the Kings Dock when kenwright out and out lied just to keep control. That would have been a huge catalyst for the club but he'd have been beholden to Gregg and he'd never have that. He's lied ever since. Kirkby, the 24/7 search for investment (but only on his terms), Green, Samuelson, controlling shareholders meetings, Rooney sale, yadda, yadda, yadda. It's an absolute litany of anti Everton decisions.
Moshiri's big mistake was trusting Bill or flushing his money.

Football is very sensationalist so they will just look at the current situation and Lampard will get abuse.

Moshiri is 100% to blame that it has got to this for appointing Benitez.

Don't quite understand the pole. The last two managers are listed, who have only been in post for a few months and then Walsh is list who left in 2018?
