Who should replace Frank Lampard?

Nuno:
  1. Has worked with Thelwell before;
  2. Has excellent connections with 'super agent' Jorge Mendes, who has a track record for bringing above-average players to below-average clubs on extremely iffy deals (which we need, because we've got no cash and the clubs on fire);
  3. Has coached 5 at the back for near his entire career to decent success with clubs of our level (which I add is probably the best formation for our team);
  4. Had a great record with Wolves coaching counter attack football against the big teams, several of whom we still have to play to stay up (seriously, check the fixture list March onwards);
  5. Would jump at the chance to leave the Middle East to come to a Premier League club.
  6. Has brought a team up from the Championship before
I don't like it personally and I can think of at least 3 or 4 options I think I'd rather us go for - but if you think the squad is actually that bad (which I dont), Nuno ticks a lot of boxes.
I wasn’t for Nuno last time

I think it was down to him wanting to bring his massive backroom team, and at the time the football he played

Now

I want someone like him to play a tactical game and a tried and tested formation that has worked for him
Also want him to bring his own team in and this will enable us to get rid of this Everton old boys retirement home….

Whatever one thinks of Frank Lampard or his performance as Everton manager, that current headline on Sky Sports is an indictment of this club's board:

"Lampard Expected to be Sacked by Everton"

I mean, you'd swear we wanted to execute him. Put the bugger out of his misery - or announce that this has already happened!

I'm sure he was sacked yesterday....this is just a case of giving him time to come in, say his goodbyes, and collect any personal things from his office...

Some people think Howe failed at Bournemouth, when he did a sensational job.

For real - results and "success" are relative to the environment you're operating in. Keeping a team of substandard players in the PL for years is just a different kind of success than winning trophies with a team of superstars.

TalkSport (aka TalkShite) saying we don't have a replacement lined up. FFS.
We will have somebody appointed for a week before they become aware of it.

I don't know how they could know that. It has been obvious for some weeks that sacking the manager was more than a possibility. I would guess that conversations have already been had with the agents of potential new managers.

Time is crucial now, we cannot afford the circus of a long drawn out recruitment process.
