Who should replace Frank Lampard?

Hypothetically, if we wanted Nuno and didn’t want to pay the release clause could we just ask him to resign or can the club just say no cos they know they’re getting screwed out of money?

Jeez, Dyche, Rooney or Nuno. I’d rather keep Frank and just sign him minimum three good players. That’s give us a better chance of staying up.
I think you missed the part where we are skint and cannot afford to sign three good players.

The question to be asked about FL is in my opinion very simple , it is

Was he able to get the best out of the group of players he already has ?

For me, unfortunately the answer is a resounding no.

I would not let Nuno or Rooney near the job.

I honestly just want either Dyche or Duncan Ferguson. Dyche makes sense to keep us up and Duncan makes sense to just get some form of fight back into us. I don’t want Bielsa or Nuno or anyone who wants to come for a project. That time has gone. We have to aim to finish 17th, that’s it. That’s the job. We have to get some wins at home.

The idea of accepting relegation and getting a promising, talented manager in to rebuild the club is tempting.

But we need to prioritise retaining premier league status. I don’t know who that is.

My issue with Dyche is that his Burnley teams were hardly known for their goals and the players we have available won’t change that.

Ferguson showed even less tactical knowledge than Lampard when he was in charge previously, It was absolute yard dog stuff, I honestly don't understand why folk would want him back, it took long enough to get rid of him. Dyche is just a poor manager. Yes he had one hand tied behind his back at Burnley but he never even tried to change much, just played along with the status quo, his record is not great when you look at it.

Sams 6 month stint actually worked. Don't like the option but another short term fix for me is the way to go. It's the least risky.

We certain;y don't need a massive 3 year deal with a Nuno and the expense that'd bring if we do go down. Nope, Sam until May I reckon.

Don't think Nuno would be the right guy for a short team relegation battle. Would think he would be more suited to a longer term rebuild hence not the right guy for me. Our amazing owner and board will probably love him and offer him a 10 year contract.
