Who should replace Frank Lampard?

In other circumstances I would agree but I don't think the players/board/owner would respect Corberán.

For me a big plus of Bielsa is that for him to come here he would demand total control over a rebuild and wouldn't put up with any nonsense.

He defo is not a long term option as many have pointed out but I actually think despite being a madman Bielsa would be the right choice to steady the ship considering the specific problems we have. Following that, if we play our cards right Corberán would be the perfect person to bring in after Bielsa and carry on his work in the long term.

I'm aware this is total fantasy though as we don't plan for next week, let alone a manager we might bring in years down the line.
West Ham were linked with Corberan so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go there and do well

I think my problem with Bielsa is that he’s an honourable fella. He takes no messing, so how can you build with him, and this board?

Attached a couple of examples of what would happen here, because we’re run by idiots.

I just think a younger manager suits our need right now, even though I’d love Bielsa.

I’d never write him off, but everything about the timing of Bielsa is just not quite right.

I’d like him as manager, he’s infectious in everything he does, and I think he’d help fans fall back in love with the club again.

But my 3-4 years was a max prediction, we’re trying to build long term, and a 67-year old doesn’t mean that.
Agree fully with everything you say mate. I was just being flippant.

Yep I could see a huge barney (sorry) over some point if principle if he came.

Good post. He is a very volatile feller, and throw him in the deep end with our board, and considering he has never took over a side mid season before, it just stinks of relegation to me.

I can definitely see the plus points.

I think it takes a miracle to save us at this stage anyway.

We need 3-4 different faces, and we have a week and no new manager.

If we had a respectable board, then I’d be all for it, but something about Moshiri, Blue Bill and Bielsa just screams car crash… nothing to do with Bielsa either.

I see we are looking at a whole swirl of managers who have left clubs in a downward spiral, excellent

Bielsa, Nuno, Hassenwhatever, Dyche..........

This is part of the appeal for me with Bielsa.

My understanding is that he won't sign a contract unless it contains certain guarantees that he will have almost absolute control without interference from the board/owners.

Now whether or not that would be the reality even if it's written into the contract is highly debatable considering our owner/board. But it's something at least.

For me a young project manager is pointless currently because they simply won't be given the control and respect they would need to build a long term project.

If we had a different ownership situation going on I would absolutely want a young hungry manager like a Corberán or Amorim, but would just be waste of time and a continuation of the cycle with Moshiri in charge.

I want someone with the authority to come in and demand change.

That’s my concern.

We sign it, we backtrack, he walks in 4 weeks, like he did with Lazio, then we’ve wasted more time, we’re even more in chaos and where do you go then?

You’ve got a whole host of managers not willing as they weren’t first choice then.

I've no idea if he's the right man or not. He's 67 though. Not that I'm being ageist but it's a strange one. There are others i'm reading about like Tedesco?
Is it just Beilsa?

It's a very valid concern. I don't think any of us would be at all surprised if that was to happen.

It's just the shocking situation we find ourselves in though really isn't it. No matter who we get in the question is going to be how they deal with Moshiri.

It might be wishful thinking on my part but I do think that Moshiri would finally meet his match in Bielsa considering the position he's already put himself in with the fans. And if not there's the possibility that the ensuing chaos could be the end of Moshiri.

Who knows though, you could be absolutely right and we could be better off going with a young upcoming manager. Normally that's the camp I would be in, but this time around I think I'm looking at it in abit of a different way.
