Who should replace Frank Lampard?

He was relegated after keeping them in the Premier League for 5 seasons after taking them from the fourth division. He was voted manager of the decade in the football league. He finished 8th and 13th with Burnley. He spent comparatively very little net and developed young players. We should have appointed him when we had the chance.

I wasn't calling for him, mind you.
You kind of just reinforced my point, a manager is more than just his last job

It’s genuinely disheartening to see how there’s no one real candidate that we can realistically get that the fans are United on. Club is well and truly [Poor language removed]. If we go down we’ll be in the wilderness for years.

There's a few managers that we might have to go to short term to get us out of this mess. We know the names. They'll be devisive. All that matters (to me anyway) is that we make an appointment that gets us out of this mess. Even if it's 6 months. We cannot deal with the consequences, not as a club and not as fans we'll all go bloody crackers.

Short term choke to ensure we stay up.

Relegation.
Oh no. The bottom is much lower than that. We're spending gazillions on a new stadium. Relegation means even more financial hardship. Add in the cost of the stadium over the next few years. We could be really struggling to stay afloat.

Would they have been promoted without the break; his players go at 100%.
Most definitely, Biesla had them on a full training schedule during the break. It was West Brom who almost threw it away, came back after Lockdown totally unfit. They were on same points as Leeds at the break but ended up 10 points behind, only Brentford loosing last match sent them up.

Dyche is fine. The rest, no thanks. He's unglamorous but he's the most likely to kick on if a miracle happens and we survive. Plus he has championship experience.

Let's face it, we aren't gonna be able to get a hipster choice as there's no project to sell
He would be far from my first choice but he's competent and has some balls. Both qualities we are sorely lacking.
