Maybe it is because of his amazing to die for PL record at Southampton. I mean wtf are you doing Everton ffs. How could this fella ever be a way forward for us.

I mean 1.17 points per match is not the holy grail but it's way better than we've been getting. It's (just) above relegation standard. He may not be the Messiah, but he's not a very naughty boy.

1.17 ppm? You were lucky! When I were a lad, we had 0.2 points per season, walked 3 hours to the ground, had a fat Spanish waiter in charge and had to pay the club for the privilege of watching our team being shafted with a barge pole every week.

I really don’t understand how they were not better prepared this time around. Lampard sacking was on the cards since Bournemouth. I really thought that this time we would have had it wrapped up within a day of the previous manager exiting.
