Who should replace Frank Lampard?

“The Merseyside outfit, as per the report, have ‘discussed’ appointing Corberan and the Spaniard is ‘also’ on the shortlist to replace Lampard alongside Bielsa.

It is claimed that other names like Sean Dyche have been mentioned, although there is hesitancy, as well as Ralph Hasenhuttl given Farhad Moshiri has appreciated his past work with Southampton.

This comes as Kevin Thelwell, Everton’s director of football, leads the charge for a new manager.

The Verdict: Get it done?

The 39-year-old has reignited a spark in the Baggies’ season since they sacked ex-manager Steve Bruce in October.

Indeed, West Brom are now vying for a Championship play-off place as they compete in one of the division’s most competitive seasons to date.

They’ve won four of their last five games and are well in contention for promotion to the top flight via the league’s play-offs – a far cry from how they looked under Bruce.

Corberan has his squad playing with professionalism and maturity, and this isn’t his only impressive job in the second tier to date.

Following a 20th-placed finish in 2020/2021 with Huddersfield, he sensationally guided them a Championship play-off final just one season later.

Called ‘outstanding’ by former Portsmouth boss Danny Cowley, we believe he could be a stand-out candidate, but the question remains – would he leave West Brom so soon after arriving?”

I’m all in on this fella. Risky admittedly, but he’s by far the most interesting name that’s been linked for me.
Same think it will be him or dyche now but this is how i am feeling just because is such a short time come in now. If thelwell wants coberan you would like to thini he is ready to go with players asap. Has style in mind just need it done now and back them
Reckon it’s going to be Dyche now.

He’s used to working on a shoestring budget. Kept Burnley up for years until the inevitable, he ticks a lot of boxes for the mess we are in right now and has experience of the championship too.

Some saying get Corberan but don't get Biesla??, they cut from same cloth, players have to be super fit and fast as he plays the high press, Corberan a lot better at organising his defence though, in 10 games we only let in two goals and they were penalties.
Sorry Sue. I like the Baggies, but could we have your manager?

We’ll give you good compensation and then sack him in 12 months so you can have him back!

Think with corberan we could get longer with him than bielsa and maybe easier to work with. Have no ideas really who can fix us just using his name becuae of trhe therwell being his choice. But is him or dyche for me is we dont have time

Corberan a lot more defensive minded than Bielsa who would be too kamikaze for us.

Would Corberan jump ship after only 4 months at West Brom?

Last time we hired a manager who was having a purple patch was under Marco Silva and that ended with him looking like a lost little puppy

I was reading about Gerhard Struber, currently at RBNY but previously at Barnsley. Not only does he have a plan B but C & D too. KT seems to have noticed him before. Average professional career but an astute manager by the looks of it. It's a familar background to many very successful managers...

I hope he wouldn't jump ship but with the financial state of the club at the moment, if we don't get promoted this season we in dire straits, he could get fed up with the protests, bad publicity etc, remember he walked out of Huddersfield for having no transfer funds

So he'd be jumping out of one fire to jump into an even bigger fire then as your situations sounds similar to ours

Mate can you genuinely imagine our fans if a relative unknown rocked up at GP.

He’s my choice.

I just think he ticks what we want to aspire to be, and worse case is he knows how to handle the championship.

Thelwell wants him, back your man Moshiri.
