I am surprised the name McNeil has been showed up in various starting line-up.![]()
Dyche, Ferguson, Bielsa and Hasenhuttl compared as Everton manager by simulation
Everton have begun their search for a new manager following the sacking of Frank Lampard and some well-known and new names are currently being linked with the rolewww.liverpoolecho.co.uk
Wouldn't be surprised if this article influenced their decision
If the DOF wants him then he should be top choice. Get it done.“The Merseyside outfit, as per the report, have ‘discussed’ appointing Corberan and the Spaniard is ‘also’ on the shortlist to replace Lampard alongside Bielsa.
It is claimed that other names like Sean Dyche have been mentioned, although there is hesitancy, as well as Ralph Hasenhuttl given Farhad Moshiri has appreciated his past work with Southampton.
This comes as Kevin Thelwell, Everton’s director of football, leads the charge for a new manager.
The Verdict: Get it done?
The 39-year-old has reignited a spark in the Baggies’ season since they sacked ex-manager Steve Bruce in October.
Indeed, West Brom are now vying for a Championship play-off place as they compete in one of the division’s most competitive seasons to date.
They’ve won four of their last five games and are well in contention for promotion to the top flight via the league’s play-offs – a far cry from how they looked under Bruce.
Corberan has his squad playing with professionalism and maturity, and this isn’t his only impressive job in the second tier to date.
Following a 20th-placed finish in 2020/2021 with Huddersfield, he sensationally guided them a Championship play-off final just one season later.
Called ‘outstanding’ by former Portsmouth boss Danny Cowley, we believe he could be a stand-out candidate, but the question remains – would he leave West Brom so soon after arriving?”
I’m all in on this fella. Risky admittedly, but he’s by far the most interesting name that’s been linked for me.
Particularly in dyche’sI am surprised the name McNeil has been showed up in various starting line-up.
Ours is a lot worse, we have no idea who owns us, our Chairman is just a front for some other Chinese business men who have took a few loans out of West Brom to prop up their failing businesses. We had a 20 million loan last month from some dodgy American company to pay players wages rest of season but it still not gone into West Broms accounts so the worry now is its gone 'elsewhere'So he'd be jumping out of one fire to jump into an even bigger fire then as your situations sounds similar to ours
Dyche yes but the others? Doubt it.Particularly in dyche’s
You're hopeless!!!!Call me hopeless but I just have absolutely no faith that whoever is brought in can manage to get a tune out of these players in the current turmoil. I do not believe a manager can come in, change the style and turn us around because it hasn't really happened since 2016. Even ancelotti struggled for god's sake
Any fans with an ounce of sense will realise that maybe it's time to not go the same route that continually fails. Davy Moyes was relatively unknown too if I recall?Mate can you genuinely imagine our fans if a relative unknown rocked up at GP.
Given that dyche bombed him out towards the end of his time at Burnley, he feels less likely to play him than the others .Dyche yes but the others? Doubt it.
I rather give the chance to Stanley Mills if we sign no one.Given that dyche bombed him out towards the end of his time at Burnley, he feels less likely to play him than the others .
I’m not arguing against that I simply said I think any argument that McNeill is likely to play McNeill seems flawedI rather give the chance to Stanley Mills if we sign no one.
I think he would come just depends what we offer him, if they say he is the man to take us forward whatever happens and have plans for going down or staying up. I am sure moshiri would pay him good.Would Corberan jump ship after only 4 months at West Brom?
Last time we hired a manager who was having a purple patch was under Marco Silva and that ended with him looking like a lost little puppy
Yeah seems like both clubs in a mess, i have no idea if the reports true but do you think he would do a good job here.I hope he wouldn't jump ship but with the financial state of the club at the moment, if we don't get promoted this season we in dire straits, he could get fed up with the protests, bad publicity etc, remember he walked out of Huddersfield for having no transfer funds
Yes I do, obviously climbing the Prem is a bit different to climbing the Championship as most teams in Championship are poor so more even, also no diva's with Corberan in charge, he does dossiers on every player on what they have to eat, how to train and individual videos on what they have to do but if ours have managed it after playing under Bruceys soft regime of only training 2 or 3 days a week and "just go out and play" instructions before a match then sue Everton players canI think he would come just depends what we offer him, if they say he is the man to take us forward whatever happens and have plans for going down or staying up. I am sure moshiri would pay him good.
