Who should replace Frank Lampard?

I mean, he was with us for 10 years. It was hardly like he jumped ship after a year. Id fully expect there to have been offers for him in that 10 years and he moved on when the best team in the country at the time wanted him at the end of his contract.
Absolutely
It’s the unfinished business remark that confuses me- he finished his business

I would actually say that 2 forward signings are more important than the manager at this point. Guardiola wouldn’t keep us up with our powder puff attacking options.

Thinking short-term – offer Tuchel or Pochettino £5m for 4 months work to the end of the season plus a £5 million bonus if we stay up. It will enhance their reputation (and bank balance) if we stay up. If we go down then no one will blame them.

If we stay up then at the end of the season, and they like what they see, then try to negotiate contract to keep them. But if another big club is interested in them then no commitments on their part which would prevent them taking another job.

If we go down we have no commitments and we can appoint best person to get us back up.

Either of them would inspire the players - worst thing we can do Is appoint a manager who the players do not buy into.
And destroy all our hard work getting ourselves out of the FFP hole we have dug for ourselves.

We seriously haven't got money to throw around.

Can’t expect the club to have anything lined up given Franks resignation came right out of the blue.
sorry ? he didnt resign, he was sacked: he could have been sacked after Brighton, he should have been sacked after Southampton to give us time in the transfermarket.
and any fool could have thought: in case we will sack him who would we want, like nr 1, nr 2, nr 3 target.
whether our board did this remains to be seen if we have a new manager in like 48 hours max

Friday eh:

I will be surprised if we have someone in place by then tbh
