50/50 with it not best or an awful choice, just because maybe wasnt thelwell forst choice might have impressed when talking. I am sure if dyche comes in he will kno this job and that he would have to improve on his style at burnley. Nope. We know what the outcome will be. He's a charlatan. The last of that, thankfully, dying breed of crap British managers like Pulis, Allardyce, Hughes, Hughton, Bruce etc. Who do nothing visionary, nothing that leads the pack or tries to change things, but rather act like football is exactly like it was 40 years ago - much like our board.
And just like all of the above, he will moan that he doesn't get a chance, or is judged unfairly because he is British. When in fact it is because he is a dinosaur.
Most of our fans will cream themselves when we get one eye-watering 1-0 win against a poor side about 5 games in Because that's Everton. Yet we will finish on about 30 points tops. No decent player will want to play for Dyche. He won't accept recommendations from the scouting department for talented footballers. He'll just want 'good lads' with a bit of banter (see also British). He will struggle to get out of the Championship as it tends to be the teams that actually attack the other teams that get out of it.
I am annoyed at how much of a laughing stock we are and how all we do is exactly what the stereotype of us is. Crap, dinosaur team, with no plan, no ambition, no organisation.
He would honestly be my absolute last choice. Even if it was sodding Allardyce, it would probably only be until the summer. Never felt so down and annoyed by Everton and football in general.
this is typical of Everton. If Bielsa is a no, then the nearest replacement would be Corberan. Not Everton- from a high press, intensity and attacking manager to a direct, defensively minded manager in a day. No wonder recruitment is a mess, how can Thelwell sign anyone with such a scattergun approach.
