Very difficult choice, do not envy RM having to sort this. Both on show last night and had decent games, but thought Oviedo was that little bit better. In the second half there was a pass by Garbutt to Mirallas, which was an absolute gem Straight up alongside the touchline of about 30 yards and Mirallas was in the clear.

I think Groucho had the right idea, if Pienaar no longer up to it and Mirallas goes that would be a good solution. All depends on Bainsey, how fit is he?

...no way of knowing when Baines won't be around and who we might have available or bring in at that point. Strange question really.

Baines is one of my favourite players and has been for years, it's just that we have 2 lads who are seriously good or at least have potential in Garbutts case, and it would be silly to assume Baines can keep his level of performance up for the next few seasons. I hope he does like but the fact we have 3 really good players in the same position it's quite interesting and not a bad problem to have! :)

Both gifted, but I sense Bryan 'gets' Everton and loves the palce whereas Garbutt gives the impression he'd happily move on for game time. Bryan is the better attacking option, and if its to follow Baines style then he's the man....likewise with his crossing and shooting.

Oviedo for me.

Given that Barry is on his last legs, and Martinez has been suggesting heavily that Baines could "do a Lahm" and move into that left sided DM position, perhaps next season will see Garbutt or Oviedo become first choice left back.

Barry isn't on his last legs, he just shouldn't be playing 90mins twice a week any more.
