Who will England face in the final?

I can’t see these Men’s lionesses progressing much further.

Some of the players seem talented enough, but they lack the resources and management/football know-how of the Ladies team. They should probably stick to fixing cars and putting the bins out.

During the final they will face the disappointed faces of their families looking at them as they proclaim they should have been there but for some spurious excuse.

But they'll know they are fooling no one and that disappointment is real.

We have had some amazing teams who should have won things and always got a Brazil or a Argentina Germany early in tournaments battered them and went out

Maybe we play poorly and pull a rabbit out the hat this time 🤔

I hope not. Not that I don't want to see England winning - let's face it, I don't - but I have no problem with England winning a European Championship if they beat the best of the rest. At this tournament, they might have to play one single side - in the final - who would be regarded as "the best". Simply due toa ridiculous quirk of the format and a lucky draw.

I'd take my hat off to England if they beat the big boys to take the title, but a run of Slovakia, Switzerland, and Austria to have a puncher's chance in the final doesn't exactly impress.

Still, I suppose English people will take what they get. There's going to be some embarrassed faces, though, if the players and manager they've been pilloring for weeks bring back the bounty...

France were welcome to win their group and enter our half of the draw

France's best player got injured. One would imagine they would have won their group had he not. That said, you can only beat what's in front of you, but the draw and circumstances that have led to this path have been kind. A good side would take advantage of that.

Are England a good side? We will soon find out.

I can't believe how lucky England have been but they will need double that so far to win the comp
