Who would make a better fist of fighting relegation?

Which manager do you think could save us?

We'd have some fun at least.

Anyone choosing cheese on a loaf of bread options. You won't make 60.

Duncan was the man for the job and some strange people agitated for some Tory who will never accept any blame and willfully sabotages us with his clueless decisions when we are on top. Franko it's time to go.
The fact that he once voted for Cameron is irrelevant really.

This is a free country and we can vote for we like.

Just because he’s misguided on his politics doesn’t make him a bad guy.

There’s more at play here than just the manager. There’s ownership so terrible that they’ve sunk a club who were consistently in and around European places in under 10 years.

There’s the fact we’ve built a squad of players who couldn’t fight their way out of a paper bag.

I think if we avoid relegation it’s down to luck rather than any footballing acumen; the odd result going our way, scoring a late winner etc.

Also if we do avoid it, I don’t envisage next season being any better.

I think it's obvious to just about anyone who doesn't have an emotional attachment to the club and even to some who do that we will be relegated.

Previously, those who thought we would scrape it were pointing out how bad Burnley have been all season. Now, they are pointing out Leeds as the team that will drop instead of us. The points are there for us to win, but overtaking teams is incredibly hard now, I am certain we will close the gap on the two clubs above us, but we won't pass either of them.

At the time of his hiring I didn't think Lampard had shown the requisite qualities to either manage us or handle the situation we were in. I have a shortlist of those candidates who were available at the time who should have been interviewed but, from memory, it became pretty apparent that our board are so removed from the reality of our situation - a situation they are directly responsible for - that Lampard was the least worst option because of his coaching staff.

Personally, I would have appointed for the situation we were in, but that's done.

We will be relegated by a couple of points from Leeds the blame can be shifted around the Benitez cultists, the Lampard apologists and fans, like me, who are outraged by the level of incompetence throughout the club.

It really takes a spectacular amount of mismanagement to relegate an established premier league club, but we will achieve it.

TLDR: Dyche, obviously ❤️

If Alladyce had been appointed when Benitez was sacked we'd be alongside Newcastle now. No doubt.

He would have had to have wanted the job again first. Thing is we have drained most viable candidates by going through the process so many times already. Why would anyone come to Everton invested for the longterm when you know within a handful of games you're going to get the boot? They just take it for the paycheck which is always going to lead to diminishing returns.

If you wanted someone with a CV it could have been VP but the fans revolting crossed that option out leaving us with Dunc or Lampard as our 'long term solution' that had the fans blessing.

Moshiri was specifically right that you are always two back to back home losses away from a crisis at Everton and until we stop giving the players an easy way out by demanding a sacking we'll never have a club that is built with a proper foundation and we'll never have any money as all the redundancies/golden handshakes take out probably 10+ million of the budget every season.
