Who would make a better fist of fighting relegation?

Which manager do you think could save us?

I think it's obvious to just about anyone who doesn't have an emotional attachment to the club and even to some who do that we will be relegated.

Previously, those who thought we would scrape it were pointing out how bad Burnley have been all season. Now, they are pointing out Leeds as the team that will drop instead of us. The points are there for us to win, but overtaking teams is incredibly hard now, I am certain we will close the gap on the two clubs above us, but we won't pass either of them.

At the time of his hiring I didn't think Lampard had shown the requisite qualities to either manage us or handle the situation we were in. I have a shortlist of those candidates who were available at the time who should have been interviewed but, from memory, it became pretty apparent that our board are so removed from the reality of our situation - a situation they are directly responsible for - that Lampard was the least worst option because of his coaching staff.

Personally, I would have appointed for the situation we were in, but that's done.

We will be relegated by a couple of points from Leeds the blame can be shifted around the Benitez cultists, the Lampard apologists and fans, like me, who are outraged by the level of incompetence throughout the club.

It really takes a spectacular amount of mismanagement to relegate an established premier league club, but we will achieve it.

TLDR: Dyche, obviously ❤️
Unfortunately there has been nothing special or remarkable about us for years, apart from being the only side outside the Sky 6 that hasn't been promoted or relegated.

As we are not Top 4/6 regulars either, arguably apart from the Moyes era, and certainly since 2017 in earnest, we have been nothing other than cannon fodder.

We go on winless runs every year sometimes taking a big hammering home or away somewhere, not being able to hit a barn door ourselves, and sacking the manager. Even under Ancelotti we looked awful at times. We recover, get a bounce, and go back to 10th or 11th with a whimper.

It only takes a little extension of a bad run and you're in the proverbial and stuck in it. That's what's happened simply. A bad run became a horrific run, and we didn't have the players/managers to get out of it.

I'm still shocked, but really it's been writing on the wall for several years. I'm not at all surprised that this situation has materialised. Everything was there for it to do so.

Spot on, nothing more needs to be said.

Would like Forest to go up for their fans but that bloody Vitality stadium has been dreadful for us! It doesn't matter really. If we go down and have any thoughts of recovering, it shouldn't much matter what teams we compete with.

You don't like the thread, then don't read it. It's a relatively simple enough concept.;)
Its a public forum I will read it and reply my opinion on it, and my opinion is that its a pointless thread not even serious nor funny with the daft poll options, plus the fact we're in the most serious fight as a club we've been in, in my 35 years as a fan apart from 96 so if you don't like it the same concept can apply to you its quite simple

That's absolute nonsense. Where were you in 1994 and 1998? Both years were the closest we've been to relegation in the last seventy years.

ok I will rephrase in what I can remember but lets not split hairs we're fighting for survival regardless
I'd certainly agree with that!
Wimbledon in 1994 and Coventry in 1998 were both games in which we needed a result in the last game of the season - and we only just managed it in both cases. Let's hope it doesn't get as close as that this season. My heart is not as strong as it was.

yes Coventry in 98 was the one I was thinking of not 96. I hope we can at least be above on points and its in our hands at least.
