Don't want to replace him .
But way we operate I wouldn't be surprised to see Martinez back after the world cup
Went for him last time and he will be available

No thank you, he saddled us with a pile of crap players, from Wigan.

Cannot believe that this stupid thread was started, we need to keep Frank not moider about who to replace him, FFS.

I note, with a mixture of resignation and de ja vu, that the annual October agitation for a new manager appears to be starting in the Lampard thread.

So, for all those dissatisfied with Lampard, who would you bring in to replace him?

Floor is yours...
There is no obvious candidate, just as there wasn't until Ancelotti fortuitously got the push from Napoli, or Benitez for that matter.
Potter held his nerve and damned us with (very) faint praise, while Howe got a severe poo-pooing on a number of occasions.

Nah, atm, Lampard is it...until he isn't, eh Mosh.

(Edit; Postacoglou at Celtic)

Stick with Lampard unless relegation becomes an issue again. There have been some positive changes made, I can live with the poor football, for now, as long as it keeps us safe and I have hopes that Thelwell and Lampard will eventually turn it around. There was so much wrong with our squad that it was impossible to cure it in one window with our level of resources. I know Richarlison was not replaced and it is really hurting us, but, the defence issues were even more pressing, as I say, it was impossible to cure all our problems in one go, let's hope that the decision to deal with the defence and midfield first doesn't come back to bite our arse.

I could see postacoglou getting the villa job. I know he coaches in Scotland etc etc but the turnaround in football terms he’s achieved at Celtic is massive. I’d love to see him at our club at some stage in the future. At least with him at the helm you’d be guaranteed good football where the emphasis is on attacking football.

Wherever he has coached, his team has won.
