Don't want to replace him .
But way we operate I wouldn't be surprised to see Martinez back after the world cup
Went for him last time and he will be available
There is no obvious candidate, just as there wasn't until Ancelotti fortuitously got the push from Napoli, or Benitez for that matter.I note, with a mixture of resignation and de ja vu, that the annual October agitation for a new manager appears to be starting in the Lampard thread.
So, for all those dissatisfied with Lampard, who would you bring in to replace him?
Floor is yours...
Was reading he already rebuffed a tentative approach from Villa, he wants to return to the game at a higher level apparently. If Poch is available and fancies losing all his hair and ageing 15 years in the next few months, then him. If not, stick with Frank.
He wasn't wrong though was he? We have a Pulis level manager now.I remember, in his words: “anyone who didn’t want Benitez in must’ve wanted Pulis, as that’s the only level of manager we’d be able to attract”
So I guess he wants Tony Pulis tbh.

Wherever he has coached, his team has won.I could see postacoglou getting the villa job. I know he coaches in Scotland etc etc but the turnaround in football terms he’s achieved at Celtic is massive. I’d love to see him at our club at some stage in the future. At least with him at the helm you’d be guaranteed good football where the emphasis is on attacking football.
Time will tell on that one I suppose. He wasn't wrong though was he? We have a Pulis level manager now.
