See thats where your wrong, if you actually listen to Moyes on the touchline hes constanly urguing the players to get forward.

But you have an agenda, so that point will be wasted on.

Yes, David Moyes instucts the players to play for a point, rolls eyes.

I will accept that at times his tactics are off, his subs are dire and his team selections dont do us any favours, but I wont accept that he tells the players to play for a draw.

Really? I thought it was fairly obvious we were doing that today.

He had subs warming up for the usual 60 minute switch-a-roo, and then we scored and suddenly they didn't come on. He was clearly content with having a point to defend. He'll see that as a point won, away to an in-form team.

And on paper fair enough. But in reality they were gash and we should have gone for it. If he really wanted 3 points that much he surely wouldn't have brought on... James McFadden.

No, explain why he is better.

I'll join in!!

Lambert pros:
----------------
European experience as a player at the highest level.
Plays attractive footie with god awful players
Might bring Wes Hoolahan with him (great name)

Lambert cons
----------------
Very limited managerial experience at the highest level
Would be a massive risk
Might bring Grant Holt with him

Swings and roundabouts really!

He did today, from the hour mark onwards. At one point Howard picked the ball up for a goal kick to walk it across to the other side to waste a few seconds. And if he were going for the win, his substitutions would have been markedly different - he just went like for like to maintain the 4-5-1. Not only that, his post-match interview pretty much confirmed he was happy with the point.

Going wider than today, he has often set up for the draw, pretty much exclusively against the big clubs this season he has went for the 0-0 and his players were clearly under instruction to maintain tactical consistency and not get forward unless it fit in with where the ball was on the pitch - e.g. if a striker has a ball in the left channel, a central midfielder step forward 15 yards.

Even against the lesser teams, it's clear that Moyes prefers defensive integrity to attacking movement, hence why any and every central midfielder in a Moyes system seems allergic to passing the halfway line.

I'm sorry but I think you're wrong, if he constantly week in week out is asking his players to move forward then either they don't give a **** about his instruction or they think that it does not matter what he is saying as I will be playing next week anyway.
A more plausible explanation is that Moyes instructs them to play defensively and they follow his instructions.

So lets get this straight. You'd want to replace Moyes with Martinez (Wigan) or Owen Coyle (Bolton)

Really?

WHAT?

Well as I said in the Match thread, ive washed my hands with him Today.

The Distin sub last week was his yellow card, the McFadden sub this week was his red card.

Im not Moyes Out, but im not, correction, I CANT defend him anymore.

It's a roll of the dice. Except we've got to get the rare manager who can turn nothing into something in the transfer market. Rather than the many dalglishes around these days who turn £35m into a donkey.

I've not said he was better, just a different option, done a great job at Norwich with mediocre players, but you with your superior footballing knowledge shot that down as he is a worse manager than what we have with no explanation.

I'll let his league standing at the end of the season speak for him.

I still want Moyes in charge, more or less......but if i had to choose, i would give Eddie Howe a shot....i think he has something...

What is the point of getting the current flavour-of-the-month manager in during mid-season ?

1) If a change is to be made it should be at the end of the season, and it should be dependent on where we finish in the league. It's also going to depend on the match-going supporters, as they are one's DM takes notice of. I genuinely believe if he thought that he had lost their backing he would walk.

2) There will only be a short-term gain (if any) while the present board remains in situ. It wouldn't take long for the new man to revert to a default position of being defensive in order to preserve our Premier League status. And that's if we don't get relegated in the meantime. A change at the boardroom would probably bring a change of manager anyway, if not immediately then shortly afterwards.

GET THE BOARD OUT FFS.
