of all the replies to the thread we have yet to get a probable creditable candidate to if
moyes went. That is my point.

Would you like the job?

The point of this thread is that he's not actually going anywhere, no matter what any of us think.

He won't resign - there's no pressure on him - he's on a gazillion pounds a second - why would he?!

He's Kenwright's bum chum - no chance of being sacked.
I've never seen a manager get less pressure for under performing than what Moyes gets off Kenwright. Unreal.

He's not going anywhere.

I would absolutely replace Moyes now, there are more than suitable candidates out there, the problem
Is we need Moyes more than he needs us.

I'm not suggesting he is a messiah incapable of doing no wrong, he has a 10 year history of rich good results, which are beginning to weigh heavy as a result of many things, not just finances, we have grown collectively tired of his incumbent tactics and saw fit to suggest better.

Well with me, its his past, yes.

I stopped going for a while, work commitments got in the way and started going again near the end of Smiths reign.

My God that was dire.

Then Smith was sacked and in walked this Ginger Scottish young lad, he was a mere boy and quite frankly I had never even heard his name in my life. "What a load of sh1te I thought".

Next minute Unsy is smashing the ball in the net and Everton actually became a force again, not a United force, but a force that won games, made it to CL, nearly, made it to Cup Finals and I enjoyed going the game, I enjoyed being an Everton fan.

And now this, this isnt great, infact this is frigging awful.

But I cant forget what he did, he made me love Everton again and thats why I will never call for his head.

Thats me anyway.

THIS.

Not at the moment he's not. But what happens if we carry on in mid-table playing unattractive football and home crowds start to drop below 30,000 ? At that point the finances don't add up and we have to sell someone else to balance the books and then the season after, things get worse.

Basically one of the questions to be asked is. If the people who want Moyes out have stopped going to games, would they pay to go to Goodison to see more attractive football with a possibility of better results and / or the odd spanking ?

I agree mate. I'd just like Kenwright to come out and say we need to be better. Or at least something threatening.

Never going to happen though.

I wonder what it would take for there to be protests against Moyes at Goodison on gameday?

It would have to a lot worse than it is at the moment. If, come March, there was a possibility of relegation then I can see it, but not at the moment. Opinions on forums are always polarised and both sides tend to be in a minority. The anti-Moyes minority is growing, but it was last year at this time as well. I suspect he'll turn it round and we'll finish 7th or 8th. How much higher would we finish with a "better" manager ? No higher than 6th if we're honest.

nothing he's doing better than any other team on our budget and even if he did who will want to come to the club with a debt of 40mil + whilst expecting european football? the answers no-one better

Not necessarily true. A wage like Moyes is on could attract some decent people.

To answer the question, I'd go for Ancellotti, or Emery.

Proven, talented and perfect for Everton.

Whether they would be interested..
