Seems to me it’s a bit like having a tooth full of decay. Most important thing is to get this rotten, decaying poison of an excuse of a manager out - whatever is used for the filling is absolutely going to be a huge step forward in the right direction.

My view a few months ago on here was that Graham Potter would be an ideal breath of fresh air and I don’t think what you witnessed at Goodison today has done anything other than to support his candidacy. That was fkg Brighton & Hove Albion not Real Madrid. They play really good football, they are clearly very well organised and coached, and all the players seem very happy with him and the philosophy. They are a motivated team no superstars just playing to their potential. They are a happy football club from top to bottom.

Now contrast and compare

Personally can't get my head around people who don't want him or even worse, those who compare him to Tuchel.

But that's football I suppose. I think some of us have delusions of grandeur about who we can attract right now. No elite manager is coming.
Why wouldn’t I compare him to Tuchel? They had the exact same squad.
and if not tuchel, let’s look at derby where Rooney is doing a fine job.
I mean I’d take him over Benitez butbwhy is he ahead of Favre for you?

I like Favre but I don't see him as a long term option and I believe he turned down the Palace job. I'm not sure he's interested in coming to England.

I'm a big Lampard fan, and not even against Rooney at this point. We need change and we need to roll the dice with someone young and hungry.

I don't like the Tuchel comparison. He is an elite manager, and just because he is better than someone certainly should not exclude them. He's top 5 in the world for me. We aren't getting that calibre.

Anyone vaguely competent would see us improve. Any of the managers that Watford turd out on the regular would move us up the league.

It'll be Dunc until someone else comes in unless he ends up doing a good job and they keep him on. I can't see Benitez having much time left, he's got no more excuses and a win here and there won't cut it even with our nutcase owner. So I think it'll be Dunc by the end of the month if not sooner

True but he showed how poorly lampard was doing with an outstanding squad.
what’s lampard done to impress you? Got to an FA cup final with one of the best squads?
Martinez won the thing with Wigan. i just don’t get it.

Top 4 during a transfer ban in a season proper football with fans, after Hazard had been sold and he was forced to blood young players.

I dont see last season as real football. It was a farce at times behind doors, so I put less emphasis on what happened

I couldn’t make it to the match today because of a family emergency, but relegation is a very real prospect now.

It’s a very old adage but it’s true: if you can’t win your home matches, when you’ve got the crowd right behind you and all those home advantages, then you’re in trouble.
To be honest the crowd definitely weren’t the proverbial 12th man today. But you could argue that the lads don’t deserve our support.

Sutton was saying on the radio today that our players’ heads went down when we were giving them stick!! And he was having a go at us rather than the players. Unbelievable.

I appreciate that we’ve got no money and we’ve had terrible luck with injuries but Benitez has got to go.
