A competent DoF, who can work with a manager that both have the same vision. Whether that be a young person like Lampard, Rooney or Potter or someone with experience.

The most important thing for this club is structure and plan, a proper footballing plan on how we want to play in 5 years time. This needs to be implemented throughout the entire club

This has been lacking from day one under moshiri. A collection of players with no identity. Rooney, Ziggy and dave k , 3 number 10s bought in one window says it all when we needed a replacement for lukaku. From that on it has been a disaster.

Get Graham Potter, has a way of playing, his football is brilliant to watch, has new ideas. Young and wants to improve.

They say Brighton can’t score goals, but they don’t have an out and out striker like we do with DCL or even Richarlison, get the football he plays with the strikers we have could be a great match.

Weather or not he’d come is another issue.

If I’m honest I just want to see nice football being played, being aggressive with the ball and actually having attacking intent and having a go. Instead of sitting back and in inviting pressure for 90 mins.
I'd like Potter, I would have gone for him in the summer but even if it's doable, Brighton would rightly make it so difficult and protracted that it would take ages. We can't have protracted uncertainty now.

Availability and practicality will dictate an appointment. We can always review in the summer. God knows we are used to that at least.

Herein lies the issue now I mentioned a while back.

Benitez was the club's plan. Whatever the plan was we won't know but the backing of him and transfer of power is indication of him being THE man for the job here.

So where do we go from here? We are now in alien territory because we had no intention of looking for a new manager and without a director of football in place, we are going to have to get this one right. Otherwise all of this house of cards comes crashing down.

Just need to hope there is a name in mind and we go out and get them. Otherwise an intern or a moshiri manager and it's back into the same cycle again

Some shouts for Rooney and if he saves Derby after the crap they've been in with a 29 point deduction then he's worth a shout next season but not at the moment.
