I imagine he’ll overcompensate for getting Benitez by bringing in a Superblooo like Ferguson or Rooney

Messaged an old mate/colleague who’s been watching Derby since he was a kid (over 40 years and he said this about Rooney a little earlier

“We’re a good team made up of kids and free signings
Decent football tight at the back. Even considering our situation he’d be a fool to go to Everton look what happened with Lampard and Chelsea
Considering everything he’s been up against the EFL have been a disgrace he’s been outstanding no one is doing a better job in English football“

Not saying I want him but thought I’d get the view of someone who’s watching them home and away

Said it in another thread that people may scoff at him but he will probably manage here at some point in his career.

Same as you not saying he’s the right man but people are suggesting Potter who was plucked by Swansea from Sweden before moving to Brighton. It doesn’t always need to be glamorous. Rooney is doing a great job and couldn’t do any worse than a few managers that have been here in the last decade.

Very very concerning that the last time we were in this position, Moshiri bottled it and brought in Allardyce.

Let's hope he's relying on Dunc for a few short term wins whilst figuring out a solid long-term replacement.

Would like to see Tim Cahill being given a role. But whomever did come in brings their own people in obviously.

For me Cahill epitomised everything that used to be good about the club. We need characters and leadership on and off the pitch.
