You'll be lucky to get Dyche - wait until the reality hits of who our targets will be.

Dunc
Granny Shagger
Nuno
Lampard

Crack open der rum eggs m8 we're gonna win da lot!!

….regardless of what you think of Everton, we are still a big attraction for managers. It’s a big old world out there, but for this moment let us enjoy this massive stain on our club being removed.

personally I'd put Ferguson in as stand-in , get a bit of a bump and perhaps 3-6 points in the next few weeks. Then bring in a permanent manager which could get us another 'new manager bump' that might be enough to keep us up this season.
Yes, things are that bad!

….I was pointing more to him being a global name.

Appointing Ferguson would be more romantic than pragmatic. Rooney is displaying his managerial capability, he will earn instant respect, he isn’t associated with Benitez.
Oh I agree that rooney is doing well and is a global brand in and of himself. I was just adding that it has a "story" that will generate lots of interest and attention.

Genuinely think the sensible thing to do here is to give it Ferguson until the end of the season minimum.

Get a DoF in during that time and then, if Ferguson hasn't done absolute bits, select a manager for next season.

In reality, the bottom of the league is that bad that I reckon we need 35 points to stay up. That's 16 points in 19 games. This squad is easily capable of that with a manager who isn't trying to lose games.
They’ve already said it’s going to be a permanent

Please God not Martinez
This!

Dunno if I could take another season of the pure nonsense he’d chat after a defeat, the whole ‘let’s not bother practising to defend set pieces’ and let’s not forget he’s the man who said, with a straight face, of Tom Cleverly:
“I think you do not have a better English player. Technically, he is as good as you get.

“The way he executes, how he reads the game, for me, he is one of the most sensational you are going to see in Premier League history.”

lol

If i was a manager id never come to us unless was on huge sums of money

And then thats another issue

Personally this is the only acceptable option. The club needs a DoF and shouldn't rush into that appointment. They need the DoF before a longterm commitment to a manager. They can also very feasibly stay up. Two months say with the DoF before the summer the plan is mapped out, with a larger manager pool.

If the club doesn't have a DoF before the manager it's simply continued insanity. All those variables point to Dunc till seasons end the measured choice in my opinion.
